Common Opal also known as potch, is an opal that does not exhibit flash or a "play-of-color". Common opal is often associated with volcanic activity and in arid areas, such as the high-desert.
This stone has manganese dendrites simulating the appearance of picturesque vegetation. The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
